The museum is also open during school holidays.

Opening times on public holidays

The museum is closed on: Easter Monday, King’s Birthday, Whit Sunday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The museum is open on Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whit Monday and Boxing Day. There is often a special family programme on these days.

Wheelchair friendly

All the exhibitions and facilities can be reached by lift. A wheelchair is also available. For the safety of the collection, mobility scooters are not permitted.

Assistance dog

We welcome your assistance dog to the museum. We ask that you keep your dog on a leash during your visit. If your dog wants something to drink, you can ask this in the Museum café. In front of the museum there is a wide grass strip that is suitable as a walking area.

Public transport directions

From Rotterdam Central station, take tram 7 (in the direction of Willemsplein) and alight at the stop Westplein (corner of Westerstraat). Parklaan is just a 5-minute walk away.
